The chair is a Permobile M300 with a JAY Ion cushion. The cushion itself costs $400.00. We had new batteries put in in January which cost close to $500.00; so that’s almost $1,000.00 alone.
The Permobile M300 Electric Wheelchair is truly the Rolls Royce of power wheelchairs, in terms of features & engineering. It’s designed for people who want the best in comfort, ride, durability & positioning. It can turn & maneuver in tight spaces, & can go far distances on a charge.
It reclines, almost like the position of a dental chair, if so desired. The headrest is also adjustable. It electronically tilts & has various positions, including the legs.
My Husband is the original owner.
The chair is in excellent condition; gently used. It’s nine years old, but was only used 3-4 times a year, only to go to Dr. appointments; some years less, so when you add it all up, probably a months worth— in total. And it went very little in distance; from home, to a vehicle parked outside, to the Drs. office. Maybe driven a mile or two altogether in all these years. The cushion was covered when used, so that’s in excellent condition as well.
Everything is in excellent condition, including the cushion, seat, headrest, arm rests, tires & joystick. It looks practically brand new! People always commented whenever they saw the chair, saying they never saw anything like it. Very impressive looking. Battery charger, original tools, owners manual for both chair & cushion included.
Dimensions taken off the original paperwork when delivered says: 3G seat w/50 degree tilt & 175 degree power recline; Ergo backrest 18”W X 23”T, set at 27”; seat width 21”; seat depth 22”; 4”X16” leatherette armrests; 2 piece foot plates 9X6”; headrest 10X5”; JAY ION Cushion 21 X 21”. It has 6 lights in front & 6 in back, including LED lights. One light is out; I imagine minor to replace (a bulb?).
New, when purchased, this chair cost $35,000.00. We’re selling it for $2,500.00. Chair is local in San Antonio, TX.
