Merits Model P323 Power Wheelchair. The Merits Model R series Positioning System for Powered Wheelchair is intended for people using a power wheelchair (included) and requiring positional change. Battery operated. R Series Positioning System aids in pressure relief of persons confined to a wheelchair. Tilting, reclining, and elevating. The chair is moved by joystick, which is located on the user’s right side. When the user releases the joystick, the chair slows to a stop and the brakes are automatically re-engaged. Safe! Can be operated on dry, level surfaces composed of concrete, blacktop or asphalt. Heavy and sturdy. Powered by two 12 VDC 62ah batteries. The R Series Positioning System consists of tilt, recline, shear reduction and power elevating seat modules. They are actuated by 24V DC motorized linear actuator. The tilt system include one motorized linear actuator causes the seat frame to shift forward. Works beautifully. Clean and great tread on tires. Operated twice by my mother who has since passed on. Climate control kept. Excellent condition.
