This is a new wheelchair purchased in mid-March 2023 for my quadriplegic wife. It took two months to have it fitted to her and by the time she could use it in June 2023 she was bed-bound, she passed in October 2023, and the chair has been unused since. The chair listed retail for $40,330.42(see picture) and between Social Security and my wife and I paid $19,219.00 for it.
This chair is an electric power Quantum Edge 3, I level with an elevator power seating system. The I-level power seating system allows the user to elevate to eye level to take part in standing conversations with others, eat at countertops, and assist caregivers in their duties. It comes with several additional upgrades such as a Roho seating cushion(to help illuminate bed sores), QLogic 3 EX joysticks( one for the seated user on the right armrest and one behind the seat for caregiver use to operate all functions of the chair). The chair will be laid flat for resting/sleeping or for medical exams. It comes with a variety of speed modes for indoor and outdoor use. The chair will tilt back and forth in your chosen seating position, allowing the back support to be adjusted separately, and the legs can be moved from a legs-down seated position to legs raised straight out in front level with the seat.
I live in mid-Michigan for chair pick-up and would prefer chair ownership transfer at Huntington Bank. I no longer have a handicap-accessible van to transport the chair, but I would consider investigating what it would take to rent one for chair transfer within no more than a 3-hour drive of mid-Michigan.
